LOAN OFFICER
Bank Star Mortgage Division in Kirkwood has excellent opportunities for Loan Officers. These positions are responsible for originating loans. In addition, these positions manage relationships, source applications and educate customers in regards to the loan and loan process all in accordance with federal and state regulations. Specific responsibilities include:
- Establish external lead sources in community.
- Consult borrowers in regards to loan products.
- Develop and maintain relationships for a continual steam of origination volume.
- Assess customer needs, recommend appropriate mortgage products and advise on expectations regarding loan documentation requirements.
- Collect application fees; submit loan applications for processing and underwriting.
- Act as primary contact for customers through loan closing.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
These positions require an Associate Degree, one year of experience in loan origination as well as the knowledge of pertinent regulations. These positions require personal computer skills (Microsoft Office, inclusive of Word, Excel, and Outlook) and experience with database and calculators. Excellent spelling, grammar and interpersonal skills to be able to communicate in a courteous, professional, tactful and concise manner.
